How to Add Your UniLink to LinkedIn Profile

Why Add UniLink to LinkedIn

LinkedIn gives you a Website field in your contact info, plus a featured links area at the top of your profile. Used together, they let you route recruiters, prospects, and connections straight to whatever you want them to see — your portfolio, booking page, lead magnet, or company. Pointing that traffic to a UniLink page lets you update the destinations any time without editing your LinkedIn.

Step 1: Copy Your UniLink URL

Open your UniLink dashboard, click Share, and tap Copy link. Your URL will look like https://unil.ink/yourname.

Step 2: Add UniLink to Your Contact Info

  1. Open your LinkedIn profile.
  2. Click the pencil/Edit icon next to your name and headline.
  3. Scroll down to Contact info and click Edit contact info.
  4. Click + Add website.
  5. Paste your UniLink URL.
  6. Choose a type — Personal, Company, Portfolio, or Other.
  7. Click Save, then Save again to close the main edit dialog.

Step 3: Add UniLink to the Featured Section

Featured items appear high on your profile with a preview image — much more visible than the contact info link.

  1. Scroll to the Featured section on your profile (add it from Add profile section if it's missing).
  2. Click the + icon and choose Add a link.
  3. Paste your UniLink URL.
  4. Edit the title and description that LinkedIn auto-fills — keep it benefit-driven (e.g. "Free SaaS growth playbook & all my links").
  5. Click Save.

Pro Tips

  • Add UniLink to your headline. LinkedIn headlines are searchable — including unil.ink/yourname in the headline gives a clickable call-out to every viewer.
  • Use a custom domain. A short branded link looks more credible to recruiters and B2B buyers than the default unil.ink URL.
  • Customize your Featured preview. LinkedIn pulls the preview image from your UniLink's Open Graph tag — upload a strong one in UniLink Settings → SEO.
  • Drop your UniLink in LinkedIn posts as a CTA. The first comment is usually a better spot for links than the post itself, which the algorithm tends to suppress.

Common Issues

  • Website field hidden? Contact info visibility depends on your profile language and account type. Re-check from a private window to see what visitors actually see.
  • Featured preview wrong or missing? Click the pencil icon on your Featured item, remove and re-add the link, or refresh the OG tags from your UniLink dashboard.
  • Mobile editor missing options? Use desktop for the cleanest editing experience — mobile occasionally hides Featured-section editing.
