How to Add Your UniLink to Facebook Profile or Page

Why Add UniLink to Facebook

Facebook profiles and Pages both let you add a website link that shows up in the Intro or About section — one of the first things visitors see. Adding your UniLink turns that single link into a launchpad for everything you do online: your shop, newsletter, other socials, latest posts, and more.

This guide covers both personal profiles and Facebook Pages.

Step 1: Copy Your UniLink URL

Open your UniLink dashboard, click Share, and tap Copy link. Your URL will look like https://unil.ink/yourname.

Step 2: Add UniLink to a Personal Profile

  1. Open Facebook and go to your Profile.
  2. Scroll to Intro and click Edit details (or Edit bio).
  3. Click + Add a website.
  4. Paste your UniLink URL into the field.
  5. Choose audience visibility (Public is recommended) and click Save.

On mobile: tap your profile picture → Edit profile → scroll to Bio or Websites & social links → add and save.

Step 3: Add UniLink to a Facebook Page

  1. Switch into your Facebook Page (top-right menu → switch profile).
  2. Click About in the left sidebar (or tap the About tab on mobile).
  3. Find the Website field and click the pencil icon.
  4. Paste your UniLink URL and click Save.
  5. While you're there, add your UniLink to the Call-to-action button (e.g. "Shop now" → your UniLink URL).

Pro Tips

  • Use the CTA button on Pages. A "Shop now", "Sign up", or "Learn more" button pointing to your UniLink sits front-and-center on your Page header — much more visible than a buried website link.
  • Pin a post with your UniLink. Posts containing your UniLink can be pinned to the top of your profile or Page for permanent visibility.
  • Add your UniLink to your group bio if you run a Facebook Group — many admins forget this and miss easy traffic.
  • Use UniLink Open Graph settings. Make sure your UniLink has a great preview image and description so when someone shares it on Facebook the link card looks professional.

Common Issues

  • Link not clickable? Include https:// in the URL — Facebook only auto-links URLs with the protocol.
  • Preview image missing when sharing? Open your UniLink dashboard, go to Settings → SEO, and add a custom Open Graph image. Then use the Facebook Sharing Debugger to refresh the cache.
  • Can't edit website on mobile? Mobile menus differ between regions and app versions — try editing from desktop instead.
