How to Add Your UniLink to Instagram Bio
Why Add UniLink to Instagram
Instagram only lets you add one clickable link in your bio, which makes it the single most valuable piece of real estate on your profile. Instead of constantly changing it to point to whatever is your latest post, product, or campaign, you can paste your UniLink URL once and route followers to everything you do — your shop, latest YouTube video, newsletter signup, booking page, free download, and more.
This guide shows you exactly how to add your UniLink to your Instagram profile on both mobile and desktop in under a minute.
Step 1: Copy Your UniLink URL
Open your UniLink dashboard, click the Share button in the top bar, and select Copy link. Your URL will look like https://unil.ink/yourname (or your custom domain if you have one connected).
Step 2: Open Instagram → Edit Profile
- Open the Instagram app or go to instagram.com.
- Go to your profile (bottom-right tab on mobile, profile icon on desktop).
- Tap Edit profile.
- Find the field called Links (older accounts may still see it as Website).
Step 3: Paste Your UniLink URL
- Tap Add link → Add external link.
- Paste your UniLink URL into the URL field.
- In the optional Title field you can write something like "My links", "Shop & socials", or your brand name — this shows under the link in your bio instead of the raw URL.
- Tap Done, then Save on the Edit Profile screen.
That's it. Your UniLink is now live in your Instagram bio and clickable for every visitor.
Pro Tips
- Add up to 5 links. Instagram now allows multiple bio links, but most visitors only tap the first one. Put your UniLink at the top to capture the click.
- Use a custom title. A title like "Get my free guide" performs much better than a bare URL.
- Mention the link in your bio text. Add an arrow or emoji pointing down — for example, "Free meditation guide ↓".
- Use Stories & Reels. Add the link sticker to Stories or pin a Reel that says "link in bio" to drive traffic.
- Track performance. Open your UniLink analytics to see how many Instagram followers actually click through.
Common Issues
- Link not clickable? Make sure it includes
https://at the start. Instagram only highlights links with the protocol. - Can't find the Links field? Update your Instagram app — the multi-link feature is only available on recent versions.
- Link goes to the wrong place? Open your UniLink dashboard, double-check that your active page is the one you want visitors to land on, then re-copy the URL.
